White Cheddar Jalapeño Turkey Burgers

The perfect summer BBQ recipe! If you love a little spiciness combined with the juicy turkey burger and creamy white cheddar cheese you will love these burgers. I topped mine with some crispy bacon & homemade guacamole and had a side of fries on the side and it was just PERF.

Recipe-

(Makes about 5 burgers)

1 lb ground turkey

1 jalapeno

1 lime

1/4 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

1 egg

1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs

Sliced white cheddar cheese

Brioche buns

Guacamole

Bacon

Fries

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 lb ground turkey, 1/2 of a jalapeno (washed, de-seeded and finely chopped - add more if you like it spicier), juice from 1/2 of a lime, 1/4 cup shredded white cheddar cheese, 1 egg and 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs.

Mix well and form into THIN patties. (Turkey burgers tend to ‘puff up’ while they cook, so I like to make them super thin). Once patties are formed, put in the refrigerator for about 15 mins. This will help them to stick together.

While the patties are in the refrigerator, get your bacon, guacamole and any other sides you want with it ready. I cooked bacon in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 13 mins and it comes out crispy & perfect!

Cook the patties on a non stick pan on medium heat for 5-6 mins on each side (or until internal temp is 165). For the last 1 minute, top with a slice of white cheddar & toast your brioche buns. Assemble the burger - I did turkey burger, topped with melted white cheddar cheese, guacamole & crispy bacon with a side of a mix of vegetable root fries & regular potato fries (I get both frozen from @traderjoes!). This was sooooo good

Let me know if you try this and how you like it!
